The farm and gite are set in an idyllic and peaceful rural location where you can enjoy relaxing walks or cycling around the local area through the French villages on quiet country lanes or for the more energetic there is a large range of activities and places to see that will keep children and adults alike entertained. 

The city of Le Mans is a thirty minute drive, with the world famous Le Mans Motor Racing Circuit. www.lemans.org. It would be a mistake to associate the city only with its famous “24 heures”  its ancient fortified centre is surrounded by the greatest gallo-roman walls in France, best seen from the quay  Lois blanc. Set amongst its renaissance mansions, half timbered houses, arched alleys and tiny courtyards is the crowning point the gothic cathedral st-julien.

The nearest town, Fresney, is a 7 km drive from the property www.Fresnaysursarthe.fr and is a charming town very proud of her middle-age origins. Many architectural elements from that period remain visible and it’s a real pleasure to discover them, walking on the old narrow streets of the town. It also has your local amenities, super market, bakery, banks, butchers, café/bars. Just 20 minutes from the property is Sille Plage which has acres of natural forest, superb lakes, fine sandy beaches and open-air leisure facilities, sille is designed for the whole family. You can visit the chateau, the lake house, board a small train for a fun tour around the lake which takes 20 minutes or hop aboard the boat “silius” for a water tour of the lake and forest, this takes a little longer at 30 minutes www.tourisme.sille-le-guillaume.fr.
